Dear Friends,
At GREY2K USA, we are working hard to end the cruelty of dog racing everywhere. Our recent activities include fact-finding trips to the United Kingdom and Vietnam, and we are currently working with partners around the world to shut down China's only dog track, the Canidrome.
Since our formation in 2001, we have helped to cut the American dog racing industry in half. Where there were once nearly 50 tracks in 15 states, now there remain just 22 in seven states.
Today, there is something each of us can do to accelerate the end to dog racing for good.
Please send a message to the governors of each racing state through our Governors' Initiative program.
From Governor Robert Bentley in Alabama to Governor Rick Scott in Florida to the Honorable Rick Perry in Texas, the heads of the racing states need to hear from us all now!
Just click here to find the postal addresses and online contact forms for each governor and then tell them that greyhound racing is cruel and inhumane and that you would like their support of legislation to prohibit it this year. If you would like to send a more detailed message, please refer to our national fact sheet or go to our racing map and click on the state you are researching.
Together, we can send the message far and wide that the cruelty of dog racing must end!
Please be a voice for greyhounds like me today.
