GREY2K USA: NH House Bill 630 Update

Dear Friends:

This morning in Concord, in its second review of our bill to phase out greyhound racing, the House Committee on Local and Regulated Rules again failed to reach a consensus on the measure. At the close of their meeting, members decided to retain the bill for further evaluation.

This means that GREY2K USA will be working with the Committee in the months ahead, providing more information and preparing for another vote. We will keep you informed as the process continues. Thanks to everyone who made phone calls, sent e-mails and visited their lawmakers in support of this first hearing!

Special thanks are due to Representative and Chief Sponsor Mary Cooney, Representative and Sponsors Mary Gile, John Reagan, Carla Skinder, Suzanne Harvey, as well as Representative Susan Kepner and particularly, Representatives Steve Vaillancourt and Melissa Lyons for fighting for the greyhounds.
