A ballot proposal is now moving through the Constitution Revision Commission (CRC) to completely end dog racing throughout Florida. Greyhound advocates have just one last chance to secure a Yes Vote on Proposal 67!
|
|
Everyone who cares about saving greyhounds needs to come to a special public meeting in St. Petersburg on Tuesday, March 13. Even if you have testified at a previous CRC meeting, please come again to counter the arguments of greyhound breeders. Commissioners will begin taking testimony at 1 PM and they will stay until everyone is heard.

Please come and ask the CRC to Vote Yes on Proposal 67. Tell them that greyhound racing is cruel and inhumane and must end. Refer to the CRC meeting rules and to our handy fact sheet for additional talking points. If you have a rescued greyhound, please bring a photo and tell everyone about your four-legged friend.

Greyhound breeders will be there in force to block this humane effort so it is crucial that you come let the CRC know the truth.
|
|
Please note: you will only be allowed two minutes, but these are the most important two minutes ever for the greyhounds. To speak, simply show up as early as 12 noon and fill out an appearance form. Speakers will be called on a first come-first served basis. Once your name is read, you will have the opportunity to let Commissioners know that you are a voter and that you want to see Proposal 67 advance to the ballot.

After this last hearing, the CRC will take final action on Proposal 67. You have the power to give greyhounds a voice. Won’t you please help?
