Did you know that the original GREY2K began as a local effort to shut down two Massachusetts tracks? After our initial success, we came to realize that cruelty to dogs knows no borders. So "GREY2K USA" was formed in 2001 with the goal of ending dog racing nationwide.

But then our eyes opened even wider. The greyhounds of Australia, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand and the United Kingdom were waiting for help, too.

P.S. In 2001, when Carey Theil and I decided to dedicate our lives to ending dog racing, most people thought it would be impossible to defeat America’s wealthy dog track owners. Forty-six tracks and 22 years later, we still work in a one-room office and use resources wisely to make sure that every single day brings the greyhounds one step closer to freedom.
