We recently told you about our discovery that Churchill Downs is propping up US dog racing through its internet betting service, TwinSpires. Since then, the TwinSpiresCruelty campaign has picked up steam. A petition urging Churchill Downs to drop dog racing has gained nearly 40,000 signatures so far, and we have received widespread media coverage with more to come.

The largest investor in the company is Fidelity Investments, a large Boston-based financial institution. Last week, I sent a letter to Fidelity Chairwoman Abigail Johnson, urging her to divest from Churchill Downs.
