Dear Friend,

The time is now to give greyhounds the freedom they deserve and end the cruelty of greyhound racing nationwide. Vermonters like you can help pass the Greyhound Protection Act by contacting Senator Peter Welch and asking him to introduce this groundbreaking measure in the U.S. Senate.

Contact Senator Peter Welch

The Greyhound Protection Act earned over 100 co-sponsors last Congress, Democrat and Republican. What the greyhounds need now is a compassionate leader to champion this good bill in the Senate. We believe Senator Peter Welch is the best person to do this. In fact, Vermont was one of the first states to ban dog racing in 1995!

Please email Senator Welch today and urge him to introduce the Greyhound Protection Act in the Senate. Tell him that you are a constituent and that you are grateful to him for co-sponsoring the Greyhound Protection Act in the House of Representatives. Now that he is serving on the influential Senate Agriculture Committee, he is in an ideal position to lead the greyhounds to victory this year.

After you email Senator Welch, please also call his Washington, DC office at 202-224-4242. Calls make a big difference!

Finally, please forward this email to everyone you know in Vermont who cares about animals!

For the greyhounds,
