But part of this historic victory is now under threat.
House 9, a bill to be heard on Tuesday, September 19 would allow local racetracks to offer betting on dog races taking place in other states. Called “simulcasting,” Question 3 prohibited this activity but the legislature has allowed it to continue on a “temporary” basis for years. Enough is enough! It is time that lawmakers honor the will of the voters.
Please also contact the office of Governor Charlie Baker or send him a message via Facebook. Ask him to let lawmakers know that it is time to honor the will of the voters and put a complete end to greyhound gambling in our state.
Finally, if you are willing to attend the hearing on Tuesday, please contact us at info@grey2kusa.org.
