Dog Track CEO Caught Lying: Watch the Video

Dear Friends,

Over the past decade, I have heard greyhound breeders use every rationalization imaginable to try to defend the cruelty of dog racing. I thought I had heard them all. Then, I heard the bizarre doubletalk used by Tucson Greyhound Park CEO Tom Taylor.

Last December, Taylor was interviewed by KOLD television about the conditions greyhounds endure at his Tucson track. He was showed undercover video footage taken by GREY2K USA investigators, and asked to respond.

Incredibly, Taylor claimed that Tucson Greyhound Park was an "ideal place for dogs." He refused to allow reporters to see the kennels for themselves, saying that that the TV station would "show it to thousands of people, and we don't know how they're going to take it." He added that he "could show you a picture of the Mona Lisa, and you could say 'Oh, that's horrible.'"

When Taylor gave this interview, I knew he was not telling the truth. His doubletalk was disproven again a few weeks ago, when we received photographs that have been taken at the Tucson track over the past year by Pima County investigators.

These photographs document the same conditions our investigators found: greyhounds living in warehouse style kennels, in wire cages barely large enough for them to stand up or turn around. Many greyhounds are muzzled, and live in darkness. They have no bedding except for scraps of carpet.

When we received these photographs from Pima County, I asked GREY2K USA Communications Manager Danielle Festa to create a short video contrasting Tom Taylor's doubletalk with the photographs from Pima County. The result is a new GREY2K USA video titled "Dog Track CEO Caught Lying." Please watch this video, and forward it to your friends.

We are closer than ever to ending the cruelty of greyhound racing, and our efforts are dependent on your direct support. Please don't let the dog track lies continue. Help our efforts to end dog racing by making an immediate donation today to our ongoing campaigns.

Together, we can end the cruelty of greyhound racing.
