Would you give $2 to close America’s last two dog tracks?
Thanks to the hard work of advocates like you, West Virginia will soon be the last state to condone the cruelty of greyhound racing!
At Wheeling Island and Mardi Gras dog tracks, nearly 2,000 dogs are caged for more than twenty hours a day. They are crammed inside warehouse style kennels, in double-stacked metal crates barely large enough for them to stand up or turn around. They have no toys and no play.
And since 2021, nearly 1,000 track injuries have been reported, including dogs who suffered torn and twisted muscles, dislocations, seizures, heat stroke, broken tails and puncture wounds! Fifteen dogs have died. GT’s Cocobolo had a heart attack at the age of three. One-year-old Flying Betty Lou crushed her skull in a practice race. Other young dogs like Killer Gandalf, One Night Stand and Cry Baby were among the 237 dogs who broke their legs
This is no life for a dog. GREY2K USA Worldwide is mounting the biggest campaign ever to free West Virginia dogs and your help is needed to help make greyhound dreams come true.
