Please join GREY2K USA and our colleagues from the HSUS and ASPCA for a series of grassroots meetings to prepare for the next Florida session. Legislation to reduce and potentially eliminate dog racing in the Sunshine State has been filed and your help is needed to pass it!
If our greyhound “decoupling” bill becomes law, dog tracks will be free to stop dog racing and still offer other, more lucrative activities at their facilities. Both greyhound advocates and track owners support this approach. Greyhound injuries will decrease, and the number of dogs that endure lives of terrible confinement will drop.
At these grassroots meetings you will learn strategies to become an effective animal advocate. Christine and Carey will also answer your questions about dog racing in Florida and nationwide.
