Greyhound Protection Update - July 2, 2008

Greyhounds Receive Protection of Anti-Cruelty Law

Today we bring you great news!

Governor John Lynch has signed our bill to restore racing greyhounds to the protection of the New Hampshire anti-cruelty statute.

Now, for the first time in nine years, individuals that abuse greyhounds at commercial racetracks in the Granite State can be prosecuted for animal cruelty.  For nearly a decade, these potential abusers were

immune from criminal prosecution.  The new law also applies to racing horses.

Please send a polite e-mail to Governor Lynch at  Thank him for helping our gentle friends, and tell him how grateful you are that he signed donation or by ordering a campaign t-shirt today.

Happy Independence Day!
