Grey2K USA:Protecting Greyhounds Nationwide

ACTION ALERT - November 1, 2006

Don't Vote Away Your Rights - VOTE NO ON AMENDMENT 3

The most important thing you can do for greyhounds is go to your local polling place next Tuesday and vote NO on Amendment 3.

This so-called "Supermajority Initiative" would require a 60% vote to pass any future amendments.  This would make it nearly impossible to pass a future constitutional amendment to protect greyhounds.

Over the years, citizens in Florida have had the right to bypass big-money politics in the Florida Legislature and take important issues straight to the people.

Due to the success of citizen's initiatives by several social movements, including the animal protection movement, a coalition of developers, agribusinesses, utilities and other corporate interests want to make it nearly impossible for voters to participate in this kind of direct democracy.  To learn more about Amendment 3, visit

Trust the Voters.

Please vote NO on Amendment 3, and ask your friends and neighbors to also vote against this dangerous proposal.  The greyhounds can't speak for themselves, and need our voice. Don't let Tallahassee and Big Business take that voice away!

For the greyhounds,
