ACTION ALERT - November 20, 2006

Deval Patrick Undecided on Slot Machines at Dog Tracks, E-mails Needed

In recent days, the Boston Herald has reported that Governor-elect Deval Patrick is undecided on a proposal to legalize slot machines at local dog tracks.

Saying that he is "skeptical" of the proposal, Patrick nonetheless said that he will not make a final decision until he hears from both sides - including racetrack lobbyists.

Please send Patrick a polite e-mail today and ask him to oppose propping up dog racing with casino gambling profits.  To send your e-mail to Deval Patrick, go to:

If you would like help in drafting your e-mail to Patrick, check out this fact sheet on slot machines at dog tracks.

Please send your e-mail today.  Remember, the greyhounds can't speak for themselves and we must be their voice.
